The question

What the project
needed to resolve.

The Quiet Fastening gives a garment detail the status of an object. Translucent organza traces the neck with very little visual weight; the gemstone closure creates the single point of focus.

The collar is intended to move between looks rather than belong to one garment. It can change a bare neckline, a precise black dress or a controlled denim silhouette without becoming a conventional necklace.

Creative direction

The direction
and its logic.

The contrast is functional as well as visual: soft organza against mineral precision, transparency against concentrated colour. The closure is not applied decoration. It is the centre of the construction.

A raspberry spinel is proposed in a restrained white-gold frame with fine diamond pavé. The final stone, clasp and textile reinforcement must be developed together.

The decision

The route chosen.
And the one declined.

The obvious route
Attach a decorative jewel or brooch to a detachable couture collar.
The alternative
Make the fastening itself the jewel and give that single element responsibility for both function and identity.
Why this direction
The jewelled closure was chosen because it allows the organza to remain almost weightless while one concentrated point of colour carries the object. The precious element is structural, not additional ornament.

Intended application

A signature jewelled accessory, a private concept or a defining object within a fashion and jewellery capsule.

Development path

Final textile engineering, clasp architecture, gem selection, CAD, setting and manufacture require a couture textile specialist, gemologist and master jeweller. AURÉ can define the brief and coordinate the relevant specialists.
