Founders rarely lack opinions. The problem is knowing which assumptions have survived because they are correct—and which have survived because nobody can challenge them.
A proposition can travel intact. The assumptions around how it is bought, trusted, priced and served often cannot.
Product quality can be real and still be commercially insufficient. The market does not reward effort it cannot recognise, place or justify.
Price does more than recover cost and create margin. It defines the expected client, the route to trust and the standard the business must sustain.
The object may create desire. Responsiveness, recognition and relationship management determine whether the client returns.
A polished identity can make an unresolved business look finished. It cannot decide who should buy, why they should care or how the economics will work.
